Know What You Want

have done and what you can afford.

Insurance
Ask the contractor about proof of insurance. There are so
many that do not carry insurance. NEVER hire anyone that is
uninsured.

Comparisons
When all bids have come in, compare for price,
completeness, neatness and coverage of warranty.
Cheapest is hardly ever the best value!

Proposals
NEVER have any work performed without a written
proposal. A signed and well documented proposal is your
only protection.

Selection
Make a selection based on compatability, competence, and
price. Make sure you and your contractor will form a good
team.
